Scott woke up this morning with a fever and had to stay home from work. He’s currently asleep on the couch, so I’m just donking around online and eating a bastardized muffaletta – homemade Italian bread with various deli meats and cheese, Alton Brown’s olive tapenade, and mustard that we bought at Findlay Market. The jar says that it’s “Zydeco mustard,” so, you know, festive. I made a king cake, complete with baby, but it’s still cooling so it’s not decorated (and therefore photoworthy) yet; also, the purple sugar I tried to make came out looking like grayish-green gravel somehow, so it’s just going to be green and yellow. Guh.
