I’m spending the evening preparing for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving feast. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Tofurky – I’ve always wanted to try one. Scott still wants a regular turkey, hence the above link, and it’s probably wise to have the real thing as a backup, anyway. I made an impromptu marinade from apricot jam, vegetable broth, pepper, sage, thyme, and rosemary. Wish me luck. 😛
Green Bean Casserole
No links for the sides, sorry. So far I have the prosciutto butter for the turkey made (I’m waiting on the gravy base right now), and all the sides except for the mashed potatoes are in the fridge ready to pop in the oven. I got an attack of the lazy and couldn’t bring myself to make the pie crust yet. Thank God and the Pillsbury Dough Boy for frozen rolls.
With any luck, I’ll remember to take some pictures tomorrow.
